No more words. Gureato daze! For someone like me who hasn’t seen the anime thereby not having a single concept of expectation vs reality, it was a superb movie!

CGI was great, everything seemed so real. Plot wise, the story was so neatly arranged that it was easy to understand (unlike Full Metal Alchemist. Let’s talk about FMA in a bit). I didn’t have a single idea of what Stands are all about and what they can do but Jotaro was nicely put there to explain it to a non-anime-watching audience like me. It was friendly even to non-fans of the anime which I appreciate a lot. So I understood the story.

There’s nothing to criticize about the actors. They’ve casted veteran ones that I don’t have anything bad to say about them. Yamazaki Kento is nailing it as usual. Mackenyu, even if he’s just starting his career, has already proved himself so much and further convinced viewers that he’s worth watching out for. If he was able to nail Okuyasu then he can pretty much portray anyone already. Kamiki Ryunosuke, check, no problem at all. So is Okada Masaki. Great actors! It’s just that Okada Masaki was too attractive for his own good.

Side note: Did you know Mackenyu had to audition twice for Chihayafuru? My respect for this guy has gone up so much. He worked reaaaally damn hard for the role and his mentors in Chihayafuru helped him so much to play Wataya beautifully. Moreover, despite being the son of the famous Sonny Chiba, he wasn’t treated extra specially, he wasn’t a VIP. He worked his damn hardest to where he is now. I think that’s just downright admirable.
